I started Tale Print Company because I believe the stories we cherish deserve more than a photograph. They deserve to live in three dimensions—as captivating, physical mementos that bring the memories behind them back to life.
Chapter II: Scaredy Pants takes Tale Print Company in a fun new direction. With spooky season in full effect, I wanted to revisit the things that made this time of year so memorable growing up: pumpkin carving, costume making, and, of course, Halloween television specials.
One of the most memorable came from my favorite childhood series, SpongeBob SquarePants. Season 1’s “Scaredy Pants” follows SpongeBob as his not-so-scary Flying Dutchman costume gives way to something far stranger: a shaved-down, wide-eyed version of the yellow sponge that was just disturbing enough to send chills down my six-year-old spine.
To me, that moment perfectly captures the strange mix of fun, nostalgia, and adrenaline-filled unease that makes spooky season so memorable.
This limited collection brings that memory into the real world with a hand-painted Scaredy Pants figurine and removable Flying Dutchman costume, complete with interchangeable clogs printed using real wood-filled filament.
